Jonathan Ben-Menachem

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan Law School. I expect to receive my Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University in October. My research emphasizes the politics of U.S. punishment, and I use mixed methods that range from causal inference to in-depth interviews.

My work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals like the American Political Science Review, Sociological Methods and Research, Criminology, and Sociological Science.
